Managing Schedules in DSHub – Overview Content: The Schedule Module in DSHub helps you plan and control when your content plays on connected screens. From creating new schedules to viewing them in a calendar, this section ensures your screens always display the right content at the right time. Here’s what you can do in the Schedule Module: - Create a New Schedule – Schedule playlists, images, or templates to specific screens. - Calendar View – Visually manage your schedules by day, week, or month. - Add Content to Schedule – Easily select playlists and media when creating or editing schedules.

Creating a New Schedule in DSHub

The Schedule Module lets you create schedules that define when your content plays on specific screens. Here’s how to create a new schedule, step by step. Step 1: Go to the Schedule Dashboard - From the left sidebar, click the Schedule icon. - You’ll a list of all your schedules. Step 2: Click Create Schedule - On the top-right, click Create Schedule Step 3: Enter Schedule Name - A popup will appear asking you to Enter Schedule Name. - Type a name (e.g., "Lunch Specials") and click Save

Calendar View in DSHub

Once you create a schedule in DSHub, you are automatically taken to the Calendar View for that schedule. This view lets you manage when your playlists or media will play, with options to switch between Day, Week, and Month views. Calendar View Options At the top-right of the calendar, you’ll see three buttons: - Day View: Shows a detailed hourly view for a single day, ideal for precise time-based scheduling. - Week View: Displays a 7-day overview, allowing quick adjustments across multiple days. - Month View: Provides a high-level overview of all scheduled items for the day Viewing and Editing Scheduled Items - Scheduled items appear as blocks on the calendar. - Hover over any block to see details like the name, assigned screens, and time slots. - Click on a scheduled item to edit its details (e.g., timings, screens, or content). Why This View is Useful - Quickly review all scheduled content for a day, week, or month. - Adjust timings easily without recreating schedules. - Prevent overlaps or gaps in your screen programming.

Add Content to Schedule in DSHub

After creating a schedule in DSHub, you can add playlists, images, or templates to specific time slots using the Calendar View. This allows precise control of what content plays and when. Step 1: Open the Schedule in Calendar View - Once you create or open a schedule, you will be in its Calendar View. - You can switch between Day or Week view for easier slot selection. Step 2: Select a Time Slot - Click on an empty block in the calendar OR - Drag across the timeline to select a time range. A block will appear with the label "Add Content". Step 3: Click "Add Content" - Click on the block to open the Add Content popup. - The popup lists all your Assets and Playlists with tabs for: - Recent - All - Images - Videos - Playlists Step 4: Select Content - Choose the asset or playlist you want to display for the selected time. - A preview will appear at the bottom of the popup for confirmation. Step 5: Save Your Selection - Once selected, click Save. - The content will be added to the calendar block and scheduled. - A confirmation message will appear: "Schedule event saved successfully." Step 6: Add More Slots - Repeat the process by clicking or dragging additional time slots. - You can add multiple content blocks for different times in the same day or week. Key Points - Drag & Drop: You can drag blocks to adjust timing quickly. - Flexible View: Switch between Day or Week view to manage slots efficiently. - Content Source: The popup lists all available assets from your Content Module and Playlists.
